As part of the IFSB summit being held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, an Islamic Finance and the G20 Agenda seminar will be held on 19 May.

Time: 10:00 – 11:00 Tuesday 19 May 2015, IFSB Summit, Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Jointly organized by G20 Turkish Presidency and Global Islamic Finance Development Centre of the World Bank Group, the event will cover the recent trends in the Islamic Finance and its reflections on the G20 agenda.

The panel will be moderated by Abayomi A. Alawode (Head of Islamic Finance, World Bank Group) and the panel speakers will be Aysegul Eksit (Executive Vice Chairman, Capital Markets Board of Turkey) and Dr. Zamir Iqbal (Lead Financial Sector Specialist, World Bank Global Islamic Finance Development Centre).

Dr. Iqbal recently gave the following interview at the UCD Sutherland School of Law Conference titled ‘Challenges for Islamic Finance and Law’.
