Investor Presentation Highlights IsDB Co-Financing Projects

The AAA rated supranational institution, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in a recent investors presentation highlighted projects it has co-financed. These included:
- A Highway project in the Republic of Kazakhstan – Construction of 57 kilometer, Category 1 (4-lane) road in the Taraz Oblast region of Kazakhstan. A part of the mega “Reconstruction of Western Europe-Western China International Transit Corridor” project. Total project size of $7 billion of which IsDB participated $170 million for the first phase of the project.
- An Industrial Project in Tunisia – Construction of a new phosphoric acid production facility with capacity of 360,000 tons per annum. Total project size $290 million of which IsDB participated $150 million.
- A Power Plant Project in Morocco – Construction of a 1230 Mega watt combine cycle coal power plant in Morocco under the Safi Energy Company. Total project size $2 billion of which IsDB participated $52 million
Lowest Leverage amongst Development Bank Peers
The presentation also highlighted IsDB maintaining the lowest leverage whilst maintaining the highest capitalisation when compared with other international development banks.
